Lisa Hanna will miss the swearing-in of Mark Golding due to illness.
Golding, who is the member of parliament (MP) for St Andrew Southern, will be sworn in as leader of the opposition in a small ceremony to be held at King’s House today.
A press release sent from the Office of Lisa Hanna, says the St Ann South Eastern MP was, yesterday, ordered by her doctors to stay home for the next four days due to a severe chest cold and sinus complications.
She extended her best wishes to the new party leader.
Golding was elected by delegates as the sixth president of the People’s Nation Party (PNP) on Saturday, after securing 1,740 votes to Hanna’s 1,444.
