Usually, tulle fabric is used to make wedding veils and embellish wedding gowns, but 28-year-old Kadian Nicely saw it fit to use tulle to add her own dash of flair to the local fashion industry. Allowing the aesthetics of the tulle usage to sweep over the runway, her brand, Kadian Nicely, took off on the wings of one of her top designs, Utopia.
Using vibrant neon colours, the St Thomas native constructs it in such a way that it grips the bust of the female anatomy and flairs off at the sleeves in a beautifully uneven and ruffled way. “I didn’t even expect it to take off, I just designed it out of wanting to do something different and people from all over started making orders,” Nicely recounted.
These tops can be worn with anything from pants to bikini bottoms for different occasions such as brunches, river days, or even party nights. Kadian Nicely has now branched off into tulle dresses, neck pieces and overalls. But that’s not all, she also caters to the tropical playful girl inside each feminine woman by playing with flared hemlines, soft colours and ruffles while leaving exposed, the back, arms and beguiling neckline of a fair maiden’s physique.
