“My heart is filled with unbridled joy because I can truly say that God is faithful!!” wrote Yendi Phillipps as she announced her second pregnancy on social media.

Penning some touching Instagram posts and photos with the help of her husband, Omar McFarlane, and her first-born (and let’s be honest – doppelgänger) Israel, she said:

“God’s timing & blessing 💫

… and maybe a little bit of unnu goat mouth too😉”

The former Miss Universe Jamaica and Miss Jamaica World shared details about her now 17-week-old bun in the oven and paired with photos bathed in a sunny glow, she detailed her decades-long battle with endometriosis, an illness also shared by her late mother, Sonja Phillips, and her strong desire for more children.

She wrote: “Dealing with endometriosis has been a part of my reality for years! As young as age 15, I would miss days of school coping with severe menstrual cramps accompanied by fainting spells. At the time, my mother was struggling with her own medical issues, and Valium was a part of her treatment. As a nurse, she would cut her Valium in half, and that would be my only relief on the worst days.”

Phillipps spoke of writing a letter to God in February 2021 that mentioned her desire to expand her family.

“When I met my husband in 2022, I knew he was the answer to a letter I had written to God in February of 2021 while dealing with health issues, my mortality becoming very real to me, and knowing in my soul that I had to make a faith-move; I became starkly aware of the importance of being with a partner with whom you are equally yoked. The letter listed all the qualities I prayed for in a husband, the number one item being that I desired a husband who loved Christ as much as I did. It also included that if it were His wish, though the endometriosis had now advanced significantly, I would bear more children,” wrote Phillipps.
