Decked out in their finest, members of parliament, representing both political parties, turned out to greet their supporters before listening to the Throne Speech by the governor general. If you were stuck on other business and were not able to attend, here are the highlights of yesterday’s ceremonial opening of Parliament.

It’s all in the sleeves for Natalie Neita (left) and Sophia Frazer-Binns, who rock in embellishment and flair, respectively. Audley Shaw, minister of industry, commerce, agriculture and fisheries, holds his wife, Susan, adorned in this beautiful Asian-inspired floral dress. (Rudolph Brown/Photographer) Meet the Flynns! Juliet Cuthbert-Flynn and her husband Levaughn Flynn kept it chic and simple. (Rudolph Brown/Photographer) ‘Minimalista’, with an eye for detail, Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport Olivia ‘Babsy’ Grange’s gold accessories pair well with her cheetah print shoes, and clutch. She, of course, stayed true to form, adding a splash of green fused with matching print. Beside her is Minister of Local Government Desmond McKenzie. (Rudolph Brown/Photographer) Obviously, the women are stealing the whole show. Check out President of the Senate Tom Tavares-Finson and his gorgeous wife, Rose who opted for a clean pant suit look finished with pink stilettos, pearls and a printed clutch. (Rudolph Brown/Photographer) Kamina Johnson-Smith, minister of foreign affairs, paired this black dress with button trimmings with matching shoes and a green purse. (Rudolph Brown/Photographer) Member of Parliament for East Rural St Andrew, Juliet Holness, used gold accents to pull her look together. (Rudolph Brown/Photographer) Ann-Marie Vaz effortlessly pulls off this ‘Jamaican-esque’ look, adorned in black, green and gold. (Rudolph Brown/Photographer) Dressed in a teal A-line half-sleeve dress, the lovely Lady Allen paired the same colour hat with navy trimmings. And, if that wasn’t enough, the fashionista added a pair of navy closed toe open back midi-heels. (Ian Allen/Photographer)
